About Adrienne

I'm a contemporary artist, storyteller, and art educator based in Austin, Texas. For over fifteen years, I've been making work that captures the ethereal nature of clouds, imaginary landscapes, and lucid dreams. 

My primary medium is calligraphy and walnut ink on paper or aquabord, a process that layers drawing, painting, and writing into deeply rich works. Ink is more than a material choice for me — it's a philosophy. Permanent marks made in an adaptive process demand patience, problem-solving, and acceptance. It's how I approach art, and how I approach life.

I'm also a mother, a compulsive writer, and a true crime documentary addict. I've audited college courses in physics and neuroscience — not for credit, but for the notes and imagery they generate. 

I've been teaching community-based art to adult learners and maintaining a steady studio practice since 2014. Whether I'm working in my East Austin home studio or leading a class online, my goal is always the same: to hold space for curious people who are ready to grow.
